Mari Fasshauer, MS - Owner
marif@fitnesstogether.com

Mari began instructing clients while at the University of Michigan working toward her Master's degree in Kinesiology. She has over 14 years of fitness experience and holds three national certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, American College of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise. She is also a certified Massage Therapist.

Mari enjoys running and yoga, has eight years of experience in competitive gymnastics and has completed four marathons. Her next challenge will be learning to kayak in the Fox River and how to navigate the Prairie Path with a "baby jogger".

Mari has found one-on-one training profoundly rewarding for both her clients and her and believes there is nothing that compares to providing client-centered, solution-oriented fitness training with an emphasis not only on results, but also on client education and satisfaction. She strives to give you "real life" fitness solutions that guide you to achieving your personal best.

Andrea Zylius, BS – Operations Manager

Andrea has recently received her Bachelor's Degree in Movement Sciences with a concentration in Exercise and Fitness from the University of Illinois Chicago. She also holds a Health Fitness Trainer Certification from Moraine Valley Community College and a national certification from the American Council on Exercise.

Andrea participated in many sports in high school and college. She played softball and volleyball for the Shepard Astros and was All-Conference in volleyball her senior year. Andrea also ran for the Moraine Valley Cross Country team and is training for a marathon and a triathlon.

Andrea has a passion for exercise and loves to share her knowledge with others. She particularly loves helping people reach their goals whether it's weight loss, improved body image or just overall better health. There's nothing she loves more than helping clients achieve success.

Jeff Grandy, BS – Personal Trainer

Jeff is a recent graduate from Wheaton College. He earned a B.S. in Kinesiology while serving as a co-captain on the football team for two seasons. He is currently an ACE certified personal trainer. Jeff has been personal training for three years. He plans to get a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and someday become a football coach.

Greg Bashore, BS – Personal Trainer

Greg is a recent graduate of Grace College in Winona Lake Indiana with a degree in Sports Studies and a minor in Behavioral Science. He enjoys sports and weight lifting. Greg played baseball all four years at Grace and was Co-Captain his senior year. He plans on going back to school to get his masters in Exercise Physiology. His goals are to give clients an encouraging environment to reach their goals.

 


Amber Demers, BS – Personal Trainer

Amber is a 2005 graduate of North Central College in Naperville, IL with a BA in Exercise Science. She holds personal training certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and Scirion Institute of Exercise Physiology.

Amber has been involved with many sports, including 10 years of figure skating and 5 years as a gymnast. Recently, she has also been taking kickboxing and swing dancing lessons.

Amber hopes to continue her education in exercise physiology or physical therapy. Her fascination with the human body and how it moves and responds to its environment has been her motivation for years. She hopes to use her education and experience to create safe, effective programs for her clients and help people feel better about themselves and their improved quality of life.
